A place for people in all stages of cancer treatment to thrive through fitness and social connection.
It’s all about keeping cancer in remission, whether long-term cancer treatment or your fight with breast cancer, chemotherapy regimens or radiation therapy, you will receive loving support to optimize your health and live strong.
The good news is you are not alone. NCCF participants are all fighting the effects of cancer treatment while in their cancer rehabilitation. They often talk about the side effects such as peripheral neuropathy, and the difficult chemotherapy regimens.
The goal with physical activity during cancer rehabilitation is to optimize your health and keep cancer in remission, where it belongs.
“This program has given me back my self confidence through the help of the trainers and the class and the people in the class. I felt like I could work out again and I could push myself to my limits, whatever those new limits were. It’s really nice to come together with the other class participants and the trainers who understand how to design an exercise program for people who are in this fight. I would definitely recommend it because no matter what fitness level you are, you can meet and exceed your goals and, it’s a great experience.”

“I especially love the community aspect of the program. I was originally diagnosed with breast cancer and now have Islet Cell carcinoma of the pancreas, and am currently in treatment. Since I started physical activity and exercise programs with NCCF my bone density has increased and my A1C went down. Yeah! The best part of NCCF is the wonderful community of cancer survivors; positive and supportive.”

We offer specially designed cancer fitness classes for cancer survivors at several locations in North County San Diego.
Throughout the year we offer a variety of educational programs and social events designed to support you as well as your family and friends.
Thanks to the support of our generous donors and the contribution of various facilities hosting our classes, our classes are donation-based, allowing each individual to contribute only what they can afford. This makes your fitness experience affordable as cancer survivors are often burdened with significant health care costs.
